Citizens Fire Academy Policies

 

The following policies are in effect for the Brentwood Fire Department Citizens Fire Academy.

 

All citizens enrolled in the program are expected to follow these policies:

• Classes will start at 6:30 PM and end at approximately 9:00 PM. All classes will start on time.

• Attendance is an important part of the course; therefore, any student missing more than 2 classes will not receive a diploma at graduation.

• In accordance with Brentwood Fire Department policy, no tobacco use is allowed inside fire department facilities or vehicles.

• It is requested that no shorts or tank tops be worn during classes. No high heel shoes during field trips or exercises. It is recommended that slacks or jeans be worn for outside activities.

• You will wear your Citizens Fire Academy I.D. tag at all times when riding with the fire department and during exercises. At no time will you be required or allowed to take part in an emergency scene operation.

• Your safety is the most important part of the program; therefore, all participants must follow the instructions given by their instructors.
