The City of Brentwood accepts applications on a year-round basis for the following positions:

FULL-TIME MAINTENANCE WORKER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

• Normal duties include operating a chipper truck.
• A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required.
• Starting wage is $10.70/hr.

• Normal duties include laying and repairing pipe work.
• A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required.
• Starting wage is $10.70/hr.

• Normal duties include mowing, field preparation and park maintenance.
• A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required.
• Starting wage is $10.70/hr.

• Normal duties include park patrol, closing the parks and general maintenance.
• These positions include evenings or weekend hours. These are excellent positions for students, retired individuals or people seeking a second job with somewhat flexible hours.
• A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required.
• Starting wage is $9.55/hr.

• Normal duties are checking material in and out, and assisting patrons.
• Qualifications vary and schedules are very specific.
• Starting wage is $9.55/hr.

• The City of Brentwood establishes eligibility lists for police officer and firefighter positions.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have at least 60 semester hours of college credit or 30 hours and two years experience to qualify for testing.
• Testing is usually conducted twice a year.
• All applicants will be notified of the test dates when the test has been scheduled.
