Water and Sewer Billing

Bills may be paid by mail, in person at the Municipal Center, or at the Municipal Center’s night depository located at the west end of
our building. To help residents level their monthly water/sewer bills year round, the City provides an equal payment plan. The City
also provides the feature of paying your water/sewer bill through automatic bank draft. For more information, call the Water & Sewer

Water & Sewer Department

The Water and Sewer Department provides up to 12.1 million gallons of water to customers each day. This department is also
responsible for maintaining 455 miles of water and sewer lines. Call 371-0080 for further information.

Water & Sewer Rates

The following rates were adopted by City ordinance:

WATER RATES

First 2,000 gallons $11.62 (minimum bill)
Next 8,000 gallons 4.07 per 1,000 gal
Over 10,000 gallons 4.65 per 1,000 gal

Minimum consumption billed for commercial-office customers will be one gallon of water per square foot of space charged at
$.005814 per square foot.  Water customers located outside the city limits of Brentwood pay 5% above the stated rates.

SEWER RATES

Sewer charges will be based on each customer’s average water usage during the months of November through February using the
Brentwood water rates. Current water rates multiplied by the percentages shown below will be applied to the four month
average. Sewer customers located outside the city limits of Brentwood pay 5% above the stated rates.

Residential 100%
Commercial - Retail 125%
Institutional 100%
Office, Other 125%

For new customers who have not yet established an average for the months of November through February, billings will be
based on the percentages as applied to the lesser of the usage reflected in the current month’s water bill or the average usage for the
customer’s area during the months of November through February.

Williamson County

Residents of the City of Brentwood are also residents of Williamson County. Services provided by the county include schools,
jail, landfill, county library, recycling, animal control, health department, property assessments, courts, car registration, etc.
Administrative offices are located at 1320 West Main Street, Franklin. If you have questions about County government and services,
contact the County Mayor's office at 790-5700. For questions about the Public Schools, contact Director of Schools at 472-4000.

The Sheriff’s office, located at 408 Century Court in Franklin, oversees the county jail  and provides law enforcement services
outside  the incorporated cities of Williamson County. Call 790-5550 for assistance.
