This 20’ x 8’5” Special Response Vehicle was first put into service in 2005 to meet several needs of the police department. This trailer serves as a major crime scene portable processing, collection, and investigations headquarters. It is equipped with the latest crime scene processing equipment and materials which are on hand in bulk quantities.
At serious crime scenes or other emergencies the trailer serves as the department's command post from which incident operations may be directed. Citizens may also see the Special Response Vehicle utilized at special events throughout the city such as the Independence Day celebration at Crockett Park and the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Run in Maryland Farms.
