Water Station Replacement Projects:
The purpose of this project is to replace and upsize two of the City's water pumping stations. One located along Murray Lane, across the road from the entrance to Windstone Subdivision and the second at the intersection of Murray Lane and Johnson Chapel Road West.
(Project Update (January, 21, 2015):
The new station has been installed and the contractor is waiting on NES to install a new electric service to the station. Until such time, most work is on hold. Work to install the second station at the intersection of Murray Lane and Johnson Chapel Rd. West, will begin sometime late spring, 2015.
Annual Water Line Replacement Project 2015 (currently working in Stonehenge):
The purpose of this project is to replace aging water lines as part of the department's efforts to maintain the integrity of the City's water distribution system. The next phase will include replacement of aging 6 inch plastic pipe with new ductile iron pipe along Prince Phillip Cove, Albert Drive, and Ashby Drive.
Project Update (January 21, 2015):
The next phase of the project has been designed and approved by the State. The City is in the process of discussing the project with the neighborhood association. An anticipated construction start date is late March or April, 2015.
