Summer Reading Programs

• The summer reading program is open to children of all ages. Each child sets his or her own reading goal and may sign up to read as much as they wish.
  
• If the child is too young to read, he or she may sign up to be a listener.
  
• Each child (or parent) will keep a list of books that they read or that are read to them. At the end of the summer, children who have completed their goal will receive a certificate and a special prize.
  
• Registration ends on Saturday, July 3rd.
  
• The first day that kids can pick up their prizes is Monday, July 12th. 

The Teen Summer Reading Program begins Tuesday, June 1 and this year’s theme is “Making Waves at Your Library!” The activities and events will be water-oriented. The kickoff event will feature water games, including a water balloon fight. Teens will also be able to make their own crafts, including jewelry, dabble with different science experiments, have the opportunity to make their own painting, play water scattegories, watch a fun movie on Movie Night and much, much more.
