The Planning Commission "Informational Meeting", unless otherwise rescheduled, takes place at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday before the regular Planning Commission Meeting (1st Monday the month). This informal meeting is an opportunity for the Planning Commission to discuss the upcoming agenda, to ask questions of staff and applicants, and to request additional information prior to the formal Monday meeting.
The meeting is held in the 2nd Floor Annex Room (on left after you exit the elevator) at the Brentwood Municipal Center. The agenda for the meeting is the same as the agenda for the upcoming Monday meeting, and can be found here: CLICK HERE FOR AGENDA.
Planning Commission Informational Meetings are videotaped and posted to the web the day after the meeting: CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO. The video is broadcast on Comcast channel 19 the following Monday (the day of the formal Planning Commission meeting) at 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.. It is re-broadcast on the following Wednesday at the same times.
ABOUT THE PLANNING COMMISSION
The primary duties of the Planning Commission involve oversight of new and revised development applications for commercial and service institutional (churches, schools, etc.) facilities, as well as subdivision actions which can range from simple lot divisions to major residential communities. The Planning Commission also provides recommendations on rezoning actions and zoning ordinance revisions to the Board of Commissioners. One member of the Planning Commission is the Mayor of Brentwood, or a person appointed to fulfill those responsibilities.
