There are two guest computers for people who do not have a library card. Printing is not available from these terminals. Get a guest ticket from the Reference Desk to login. Guests may purchase a one day pass for up to four hours of computer access and printing availability from the Circulation Desk. The one day pass will allow study room access as well when a room is available. Cost is $5.

Use of library computers is free, but there is a fee for printing. Each library card has .50 cents of printing credit per day, which is good for 5 black and white pages or one color page. Add money to your print account at the Reference Desk.

interlibrary loan

Our collection includes more than 120,000 items, but sometimes we just won't have the one you need. But another library might have it. Interlibrary loan provides you with access to millions of titles from other libraries around the country.
The Brentwood Library is a member of the Nashville Area Library Alliance. Also known as Project Athena, it gives you access to the online catalogs of the Nashville Public Library, Vanderbilt University and other universities in the area. Use this link to access the Athena catalog online. Select the title you want, then click the Interlibrary Loan button to request the item. You will be notified when the item is ready for pickup.

If the item you're looking for is not on Athena, please contact Reference Librarians for assistance in locating the book from other libraries.

Interlibrary loan is a free service. Books usually arrive within 10 days. Audiovisual items are not available thru interlibrary loan.
